Techland’s Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been delayed so many times that a lot of people thought that the game had been cancelled, and though the title is finally set to come out in a few weeks, it looks like things will take longer for Nintendo Switch users.
In a press release from the developers (via ComicBook), Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been delayed for the Switch “within six months of the original date.” The statement reads:
“In order to provide fans with the gaming experience at the level they deserve and that Techland wants to provide, Dying Light 2 Stay Human (Cloud Version)’s release date on Nintendo Switch will be moved… Techland is asking Nintendo fans around the world for their patience. Upon the game’s release, players will be able to experience Dying Light 2 Stay Human with flexible handheld gameplay at its best with Nintendo Switch, powered by Cloud Technology.”
With the announcement, the latest Switch fans can expect Dying Light 2 to release on their platform will be August 2022. Even if there was a delay for the Switch, the February release for PlayStation and Xbox consoles will still push forward as planned.
If Cyberpunk 2077 has taught us anything is that a delayed game is better than an unfinished one, so fans should just be thankful that Techland isn’t keeping them in the dark. Hopefully we get the game sooner rather than later.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human will come to PS4|PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Feb. 4.
