Another Friday is upon us, and in Destiny 2, that means it’s time for us to go on our merry hunt for the weirdo squid-faced vendor man known as Xur. Today we’re going to run down all the wonderful Xur details you need to know, including where our creepy pal is hanging out, and what he’s brought along in his bag of goodies. Hopefully you’ll get all the info you need to know whether or not he’s worth a visit between now and Tuesday.

Destiny 2 Xur Report for June 18, 2021

Without further ado, let’s jump into it.

Xur location: Watcher’s Grave, Nessus

Wow, has it ever become easy to find Xur these days! The truth is, most of the other locations the guy went to have been taken out of the game (thanks, Destiny Content Vault). So he’s really limited in where he can go. There’s Nessus. There’s the EDZ. And there’s the Tower. This week, he’s on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave.

To get there, load up your Destination’s screen, select the Watcher’s Grave zone on Nessus, and when you spawn in, go forward on the path until you pass by a large tree on your right. Xur is on the trunk of that tree.

Now onto the goods.

Xur’s inventory

Exotic Engram

If you’re relatively new to the world of Destiny 2, it stands to reason you may not have every Exotic weapon or armor piece available. While some of those are only obtainable in specific activities, many others are available in the game’s larger loot pool. An Exotic Engram from Xur will decrypt into something you don’t have yet, and in a game full of RNG loot, not having to rely on luck for something is lovely.

COST: 97 Legendary Shards.

The Jade Rabbit

If you’re a fan of Scout Rifles but you don’t want to be that person running Mida Multi-Tool 24/7, the Jade Rabbit is a nice alternative for you. Its intrinsic perk, The Fate of All Fools, builds up damage via body shots and delivers that damage on your next precision shot. When you land with precision, by the way, you’ll get some ammo added back for good measure. The Jade Rabbit is a fun gun, indeed.

COST: 29 Legendary Shards.

Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves (Hunter Gauntlets)

Look, Hunters — there is really only one reason for you to be eyeing up Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves, and it’s if you live and die by the Sidearm. If you’re really into that gun type, MT will increase the ready and reload speed on it for you, and will also increase its damage if you’re critically hurt. If you are more into other weapons, however, you should probably give these Gauntlets a pass.

Stats

  • Mobility: +12
  • Resilience: +18
  • Recovery: +2
  • Discipline: +12
  • Intellect: +7
  • Strength: +10
  • TOTAL: 61

COST: 23 Legendary Shards.

Synthoceps (Titan Gauntlets)

Titans love to punch, which is probably why most of them should take a gander at the Synthoceps Gauntlets. These babies will increase melee lunge range, which is wonderful because Titans otherwise have tiny T-Rex arms that can swing and swing and sometimes not connect. While wearing Synthoceps, you’ll see increased Super damage when you’re surrounded, as well. Not bad for Fists of Havoc in a crowd.

Stats

  • Mobility: +14
  • Resilience: +8
  • Recovery: +9
  • Discipline: +8
  • Intellect: +7
  • Strength: +13
  • TOTAL: 59

COST: 23 Legendary Shards.

Transversive Steps (Warlock Leg Armor)

A fine roll for Transversive Steps this week, which is great if the Warlock build you enjoy using the most is the “run” build. Transversive Steps will help up your sprint speed a good bit, and automatically reloads your weapons after sprinting a short distance. This could be good for tough activities where you’re constantly on the move and don’t have time to wait for reloads. If you don’t play those, however, you may not see a need for this Leg Armor.

Stats

  • Mobility: +3
  • Resilience: +14
  • Recovery: +17
  • Discipline: +16
  • Intellect: +6
  • Strength: +8
  • TOTAL: 64

COST: 23 Legendary Shards.

Exotic Cipher Quest

The Exotic Cipher Quest this week has you completing strikes or winning Crucible/Gambit matches in order to secure your price. According to the Quest, “Extra progress is awarded for more challenging activities and for succeeding with clanmates.” So buddy up, pull out some W’s, and you’ll get to the end a whole lot quicker.

And with that, our Destiny 2 Xur Report for this week has come to a close. Be sure to check back next Friday for the latest on where Xur is and what he’s got.
