We’ve had a look a Stray before, but the latest State of Play event has given us a more extensive gameplay reveal for the upcoming Cyberpunk cat simulator. What’s great is, we also have a release date that’s not too far off.
Check this out:
Here’s the official tagline:
Lost, alone, and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity and find the way home.
We don’t have that much when it comes to lore of Stray yet, but it does look like the humanoid robots are frightened of your character somehow. While the game does have some robot allies, there looks to be some bots that you have to avoid, and some that will outright attack you. There are also these pig-like creatures that look to be attacking you in a sewer, but we don’t know what those are yet exactly.
With fans going crazy over something as simple as petting a dog in Ghost of Tsushima, I’m sure that the possibility to play a cat is going to get the curiosity of anyone. No customization options have been revealed when it comes to your main cat character, but it would have been great to be able to change skins. Even that simple rig on its back would be great if it could come in different colors and styles.
Hopefully BlueTwelve Studio has that in mind when the game comes out next month.
Stray will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on July 19.
