Teamwork makes the dream work. In this guide, find out how to play with friends or other players online in Diablo Immortal.
The whole point of the always-connected era is that people from all places and walks of life can connect and enjoy experiences together. For most gamers, the ability to play with multiple friends is a godsend and was nothing more than a pipedream a few years ago.
These days, online play isn’t just a feature that developers add on top of a game’s single-player mode. Games such as Diablo Immortal are now being built around being online-only.
Diablo Immortal’s single-player mode isn’t terrible. However, most of the game’s content is focused around its endgame, where players can play together or against one another in PvE or PvP.
With that in mind, we’ll show you how to play Diablo Immortal with other players online in co-op so you can farm and clear dungeons faster in-game. Let’s go!
How to Unlock Diablo Immortal Multiplayer
Players cannot access online play immediately at the beginning of single-player mode. Only after completing the Main Quest called Unseen Lair in Wortham will players start to see other players around the map.
After which, players can be seen running around the map, going from one objective to another to complete the same quests others are currently on. Monsters and enemies are likely shared between multiple players since players can indirectly team up and clear monsters around the map.
How to Invite Players to Your Party
To play with friends in Diablo Immortal, you must ensure you’re on the same server. If your friends are on another server, you have to decide whether to swap over to their server or vice versa. Either way, only players on the same servers can connect and play together online.
See our guide on changing servers in Diablo Immortal for more information on servers and what you need to remember when switching from one to another.
Once you’re on the same server, you can try any of the methods below to add them to your party and start going on co-op dungeon runs in-game.
Party Finder
Tapping on the icon to the right of your player icon will bring up the Party menu, where you can invite random players to your party and create a small team of players that can help you complete Elder Rift or Challenge Rift Runs.
Diablo Immortal makes finding random party members very simple. You can scroll through other players’ posts and join them if they plan on undertaking a similar mission that you have in mind.
On the other hand, the “Create Post” option lets you specify which tasks you would like to use the party for, so you can find like-minded individuals quickly in-game.
Friends/Clan/Recents Invite
Alternatively, players can tap on the plus icon beside their character in the same Party Menu to manually invite friends, clan members, or recent players they have partied with in-game.
To invite them to your party, tap the small plus icon to the right of their player card.
If you have added your friends in-game, you can find them under the Friends section in the same menu.
Elder Rift/Challenge Rift Find Party
The Elder Rift and Challenge Rift feature a “Find Party” option that instantly groups players who plan on going on an Elder Rift or Challenge Rift Dungeon run.
Random players should automatically fill the party’s empty slots using the “Find Party” option. However, remember that the “Find Party” option will group players from Level 20 to Level 60. Players might have difficulty forming a team with an acceptable level range through this option.
Nevertheless, the Find Party option is a quick and easy way to find other players who want to go on an Elder Rift or Challenge Rift run in Diablo Immortal.
Teamwork Makes Elder Rift Runs Easy
MMORPG, such as Diablo Immortal, is built from the ground up to be played by multiple players across multiple servers online, so it only makes sense to play these games with other people or, more ideally, with your friends.
Now that you know how to team up with friends in Diablo Immortal, plan, coordinate, and execute your team’s plan to clear Elder Rifts and other dungeons in-game.
