Watch Gameplay for TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection

PS Underground gives us a look at TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection:

Let’s play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection! We’re joined by friends from Konami and Digital Eclipse for a look back at several classics included in the collection. As a treat, we spotlight boss fights against everybody’s favorite dimwitted henchmen: Bebop and Rocksteady.

We don’t have a full breakdown of the games that will be in the Cowabunga Collection yet, but Konami does promise to reveal more about the game come 2022’s San Diego Comic-Con. Here’s the teaser:

Though I am always looking forward to newer titles, this collection actually gives you more appreciation for Shredder’s Revenge. Not only did they keep to the core gameplay of the original Turtle games, but they also managed to enhance it, from the combat to the goofy animation on the turtles as well as the enemies.

Even if TMNT is a decades-old franchise, you have to appreciate how it’s managed to reinvent itself constantly over the years, giving kids their definitive version of the Heroes in a Half Shell. Who knows, maybe the Cowabunga Collection could release just in time for Seth Rogen’s animated reboot of TMNT—whenever they decide to give us a first look.

No release date has been set for TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection, but you can watch out for Konami’s SDCC panel coming July 21–24.
