It’s been months since we got our last update on Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, but thanks to gamescom 2022, we have a new gameplay trailer that showcases the main characters’ powers and the game’s bosses.
Check them out:
A44 Games is best known for their work on the soulslike game Ashen, and while that title was clearly influenced by Dark Souls, fans think that Flintlock will be their take on another soulslike title—Bloodborne.
If you ask me, the game actually looks like a mix of both Bloodborne and God of War. The bosses look massive and have very specific patterns like in Bloodborne, but Nor making use of the axe and having a smaller companion accompany her in the game kind of feels like Kratos in the rebooted God of War games.
That being said, the world looks fantastic, and I can’t wait to see more of it.
Get a glimpse at Flintlock’s magic and gunpowder wielding heroes in action as Nor and her fully voiced foxlike companion, Enki, team up to prevail against the Gods. Flooded by tides of undead, players must combine the might of Nor’s destructive axe and flintlock weaponry with Enki’s mysterious mystical abilities, strategically signaling Enki to gain the upper hand by harnessing his astonishing powers.
No specific release date has been announced for Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, but the game is expected to release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, and PC sometime in 2023.
