We’ve been getting some deep-dives for well-established Marvel heroes in the upcoming Midnight Suns game, but now the spotlight is coming to Hunter—the original customizable character created for the game.

After centuries of slumber, The Hunter is back to fulfill their destiny.

Learn the story of this all-new hero, the impending conflict against Lilith, and much more about the Midnight Suns from Comicstorian!

While you can customize several things about Hunter, from their skillset to their gender, some elements do remain constant. For one, they are the offspring of the Demon Queen Lilith, and they’re the only one who is capable of beating her. On another note, the Hunter also comes with a hell hound named Charlie that can help you during battles.

Besides the established backstory, Hunter is also customizable based on the players decision. By hanging out with specific heroes at the Abbey (Midnight Suns’ HQ setting), you get the chance to different kinds of powers that are close to that character, like Wolverine with his healing ability or Doctor Strange with his support skills.

With Hunter being a fully customizable hero in the game, I wonder if there are any contingencies in case the character becomes unbalanced in the battlefield. Then again,  I’m sure that won’t be a problem for players who like to play offline. I am curious if there is going to be a multiplayer mode that can pitch you against another person online with a completely different build when it comes to their team.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is expected to launch sometime early 2023 for Xbox, PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
