An emotional story of a single mother and her search for a new home.
Klabater and Warsaw Film School Video Game & Film Production Studio today announced that their narrative-driven adventure game Best Month Ever will be coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
This intense story starts in 1969, the year Uncle Sam “got his ass kicked”. As the USA faced political turmoil a young woman and her son were embarking on an emotional journey that would change their lives forever.
You play as Louise, a single mother struggling to make ends meet. However, life can get even worse as she is diagnosed with a terminal illness that gives her only a month to live. With only a month to raise her son, how does a mother tell her son that she’s dying?
So Louise and Mitch hit the road to make the most of the four weeks they have together. This family trip that takes part in the 60’s era has both mother and son being stuck in both funny and dangerous situations. Each one will have an impact on the future and relationship of the duo.
You’ll learn about these decisions that were made through flashbacks and the memories of Mitch once he’s all grown up and living in the 70s.
These decisions matter as they shape the sort of person Louise was while raising Mitch through adding positive and negative influence to three stats: Righteousness, Confidence, and Relations. These will change the story as it goes on, making each playthrough of the game unique.
Like any game with multiple decisions for you to make there is a variety of endings for you to experience, both happy ones and sad ones. It is up to you as a player to decide how Mitch’s journey with his mother across the USA went and what sort of man it made him in the end.
Michal Gembicki, Joint CEO in Klabater, had this to say about the announcement:
“We are so excited to finally announce Best Month Ever. It is a unique game created by a talented team of veteran game developers in cooperation with the Warsaw Film School. And you can really feel the road movie vibe that it is so characteristic to 60s and 70s cinematography, where you could always expect the compelling story and convincing protagonists.”

“One can certainly see some similarities to Life is Strange or even the cult classic like the Wonder Years TV series. And what makes the game special is that it is an extremely interesting take on the unique relationship between mother and son.”
A release date has not yet been announced but we’re already looking forward to this road trip against the clock coming hopefully soon.
