It barely been a years since the announcement for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, but now we have a new look at the game and the kooky worlds that SpongeBob and Patrick get to visit.
Check out the gameplay trailer for The Cosmic Shake:
Here’s the official description:
“Wish-granting Mermaid’s Tears in the hands of SpongeBob and Patrick… What could possibly go wrong? Sure, the very fabric holding the very universe very together could come very undone, opening up portals into Wishworlds full of knights, cowboys, pirates, and prehistoric snails. But that’s nothing everyone’s favorite sponge can’t handle – with the right cosmic costume! Everybody do the Cosmic Shake!
The game promises more than 30 costumes for SpongeBob to help him navigate each of the worlds that will be available in the game (7 to be exact)—each of them having a specific connection to the show from the Jellyfishing grounds of Jellyfish Fields to the eerily creepy city of Rock Bottom.
Not only are the locations lifted straight from the show, but other gameplay elements as well. Besides SpongeBob’s karate costume, we also have the Seahorse that Spongebob gets from that one episode. I think it’s also funny that SpongeBob can glide around with a pizza because that’s exactly what he does with it in Pizza Delivery which came out way back in the first season.
No release date has been announced for SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, but we should expect it to release for Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and PC sometime this year.
