Top Gun: Maverick is set to hit theaters by the end of the week, and the film has teamed up with Bandai Namco Entertainment for some Top Gun-inspired DLC.

For the DLC, you get access to planes like the DarkStar, the Super Hornet F/A-18E, the Tomcat F-14A, and a 5^th Gen Fighter. You also get skins based on two of Top Gun’s favorite characters, Maverick and Iceman.

With Top Gun: Maverick trying to stay as faithful as it can to the fighter pilot experience, it would only make sense that they would collaborate with a game that’s essentially an air combat simulator. With so much critical praise coming for the movie, I’m sure enthusiasts would want more Maverick content to come to Ace Combat; but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what Bandai comes up with.

After more than 30 years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him.
