How to Switch Weapon Fire-rate in Apex Legends

Depending on which weapon you have currently equipped, you might choose between Single Fire, Burst Fire, or Full-Auto.

Weapons such as the Triple Take and Peacekeeper also have special toggleable Firing modes.

  • To switch between weapon Fire-rates in Apex Legends, you have to press the ‘B’ button if you’re on the PC.
  • For Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Playstation 4 & 5, press on the Left D-Pad to switch Fire-rate.

Toggle Away

Weapon Fire-rate toggles are a great way of altering your weapon’s accuracy for varying distances.

Single fire should give you the accuracy and recoil control you need to land consistent potshots on your enemies for long-range shots. Burst-fire works well for close-quarters combat where you are sure that you can land all the burst-shot bullets on your enemies. Finally, Full-auto works awesome for mid-range combat as long as you can control your weapon’s recoil.
