June draws nearer, and that means that Blizzard is closer to their release of Diablo IV. While a lot of people are excited about the game, Diablo also has its extensive lore, and we have a new web series called Book of Lorath to help catch us up on the world of the Sanctuary.

Catch Up on Diablo IV Lore with Book of Lorath Web Series

Check this out:

For untold eons, an Eternal Conflict has raged between the demonic hordes of the Burning Hells and the angelic host of the High Heavens. Arm yourself for the fight on Sanctuary with the weapon of knowledge, young scholar.

Fans will recognize the voice of Ralph Ineson (The Green Knight, The Witch) who plays the part of Lorath, and is the one narrating the web series. The art featured in the video also comes from Lindsay Kerner with animation from Duncan Rawlings.

The video essentially breaks down the two sides of the setting from the Burning Hells to the High Heavens, with each side having its own figurehead demons and angels. While I expect the game to pit players against demons, it’s also possible we could be seeing all the different angels in battle as well.

Here’s the official description of the game:

Diablo® IV is the next-gen action RPG experience with endless evil to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish Dungeons, and legendary loot. Embark on the campaign solo or with friends, meeting memorable characters through beautifully dark settings and a gripping story, or go rogue through an expansive End Game and a shared world where players will meet in towns to trade, team up to battle World Bosses, or descend into PVP zones to test their skills against other players – no lobbies necessary – with cross-play and cross-progression on all available platforms.

Watch out for Diablo IV when it launches for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on June 6.
