We know that Batgirl is getting her own movie, but Barbara Gordon is set to be a playable character in DC’s upcoming game Gotham Knights. Just in, she gets her own character trailer, and we get to see just how much she can kick ass in the game.

Batgirl Gets the Spotlight in New Gotham Knights Character Trailer

Watch this:

Gotham City still has a Bat, and she’s going to make sure everyone knows it. Protecting people runs in her veins and will always be a part of who she is, no matter her identity. The people of Gotham need a symbol to believe in, and there’s no one better than Batgirl to be that symbol.

With Nightwing and Robin pretty much having their own playstyles, it looks like Batgirl is the one with the closest abilities to Arkham’s Batman. She can glide with her cape, and she makes a lot of use with a grappling hook. I guess the nunchucks/tonfa weapon is original when it comes to Barbara, but it’s great to see a character that fights like the OG Arkham protagonist.

The last character left to reveal is Red Hood, and we should expect him to play the most brutally among the four. Maybe there’s room for one more character to join the roster, but for now, it seems like we have a solid Bat-Family.

Though the game may be skipping out on previous-gen consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One, I’m sure that means that Gotham Knights will have a lot to offer when it comes to visuals and gameplay.

Gotham Knights launches on Oct. 25 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
