Become the Law in Gameplay Trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City

Watch the gameplay trailer for RoboCop: Rogue City:

Welcome to Detroit; crime runs rampant as the city lies on the edge of ruin, people fighting for scraps as others live extravagant lives of luxury. Control of the Detroit Police Department is given to the Omni Consumer Products corporation in an attempt to restore order. You are that solution, RoboCop, a cyborg tasked with protecting the city.

What’s great is, the game was actually able to bring back original RoboCop actor Peter Weller, who will be reprising the role for the game.

The game looks to be embracing the original RoboCop timeline, and has even given the whole world a retro-futuristic look that feels like it was conceptualized in the 80s. Based on the gameplay, we should expect RoboCop to come with a whole arsenal of weapons, and we should see the return of several other elements from the original films.

There was an attempt to reboot RoboCop back in 2014 with actor Joel Kinnaman, but it’s sad to say that franchise never took off. Even if that was the case, I still thought the movie had some great redeeming elements to it. It was really just a bummer that they decided to paint the whole suit black rather than just keep the updated design with the original silver and black colors.

RoboCop: Rogue City launches for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, and PC sometime in June of 2023.
