Bite Back the Vampires in Story Trailer for Bethesda's Redfall

Check out the story trailer for Redfall:

Here’s the official description for the game:

Redfall is an open-world, single player and co-op FPS from Arkane Austin, the award-winning team behind Prey and Dishonored. Continuing Arkane’s legacy of carefully crafted worlds and immersive sims, Redfall brings the studio’s signature gameplay to this story-driven action shooter.

The island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, is under siege by a legion of vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the citizens off from the outside world. Explore the open world and immerse yourself in a deep story campaign as you unravel the mystery behind the vampires’ appearance. Ally with a handful of survivors against the creatures threatening to bleed the town dry.

While the genre of vampires usually invokes some old-timey weapons like stakes and holy water, it looks like Redfall will be giving players an arsenal of more futuristic weapons to take on the horde of undead vampires.

Admittedly, the game doesn’t seem as graphically impressive compared to much anticipated games from Bethesda, but this should be an interesting placeholder for fans who are still waiting on the release of the studios’ AAA titles.

With a release set for May, we should expect some more detailed reveals on Redfall over the course of the next few weeks.

Redfall launches for PC and Xbox Series X|S on May 2.
