Champion Hill is a totally new game mode and aims to blend tactics and strategy with quick action and close-quarter gunplay. Champion Hill takes the form of a multi-arena tournament with players being split into teams of two or three, with each team having a set amount of lives, players must aim to reduce their rival squad’s life count to zero in a series of timed rounds.
Every Squad will start with the same loadout, but picking up drops and taking down enemies will give you cash which you can use to upgrade your weapons and armor. However, players will have to stay on their toes and the way that they spend their cash can have a big impact on how they approach taking on other squads, whether it’s saving your cash for bigger upgrades, or spending it on smaller more cost-efficient ones, these decisions are crucial and have a big role to play.
Champion Hill is fairly unique from a design perspective as it has four maps, Trainyard, Airstrip, Market, and Courtyard which have all been combined together to form one massive arena. If players are eliminated they’ll be able to watch the rest of the match in spectator mode from the central Buy Station Area.
