June is almost here, which means we’re getting closer to the release of Diablo IV, and though there are a lot of fans excited about the launch, some are wondering if they can jump into the game without playing any of the previous entries.

Catch Up to the Diablo IV Lore with New Inside Look

Thanks to Blizzard, we have a new inside look at the game, and it catches us up on the lore of the Diablo universe. It also introduces us to major players like Lilith, Mother of Demons, and Inarius, Fallen Arch Angel. Check this out:

With complex characters and a brutal setting, #DiabloIV ushers in a bold new saga to Hell.

Learn more about the events unfolding in Sanctuary and the part you will play.

The video catches everyone up on the world of Sanctuary and how things have changed since half of humanity had been wiped out. The series will feature some returning characters from Diablo III, albeit they will be older and world-weary, seeing that they’ve undergone a mass culling of the human race.

Pre-ordering the game will get you four days of early access, and you can check that out on Diablo4.com.

Here’s the official description of the game:

Diablo® IV is the next-gen action RPG experience with endless evil to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish Dungeons, and legendary loot. Embark on the campaign solo or with friends, meeting memorable characters through beautifully dark settings and a gripping story, or go rogue through an expansive End Game and a shared world where players will meet in towns to trade, team up to battle World Bosses, or descend into PVP zones to test their skills against other players – no lobbies necessary – with cross-play and cross-progression on all available platforms.

Diablo IV launches on June 6 for the PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
