A lot of fans like to make fun of Horizon Forbidden West for being a forgettable game, but Aloy is set to return to the spotlight with upcoming DLC HFW: Burning Shores.
Just in, we have a look at some pre-order exclusives if you purchase the expansion now. Check this out:
I’ll admit, it doesn’t really show much, but we do get a new set of armor called the Blacktide Dye, and a new weapon dubbed the Blacktide Sharpshot Bow. You’d think there’d be more goods when it comes to the pre-order, but I guess the expansion itself is going to come with all kinds of cosmetics and weapons.
Here’s the official description for the expansion:
Coming to PlayStation®5 consoles on April 19, 2023. Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores sees Aloy pursue a sinister threat in the untamed wilds of Los Angeles, now a treacherous volcanic archipelago.
Horizon fans definitely took a blow last weekend when it was reported that Lance Reddick, who plays Sylens in the game, had passed away. It’s been said that Sylens is set to make an appearance in Burning Shores, but moving forward, a lot of fans are wondering how Guerrilla is going to deal with the character’s passing.
Personally I would love for someone else to take on the role, and just have Reddick’s character model the same, so in a way he lives on in the franchise. I’m sure there are a lot of good choices to take over, but I think Keith David (Rick and Morty, Community) has the same kind of sultry voice that Reddick is known to deliver.
Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores launches on April 19 for PlayStation 5.
