We had received teasers for Tchia before from developers Awaceb, and the game is set to release for PlayStation 4|5 and PC this year.
Just in, we have a new launch trailer for the game, and it’s confirmed that Tchia will be releasing on March 21, 2023. Check this out:
Here’s the official description:
Get ready for a vibrant tropical journey with Tchia, launching on March 21, 2023! In this open-world sandbox adventure, you will take on the oppressive rule of Meavora on an archipelago inspired by New Caledonia, all in an effort to rescue your father. This emotional coming of age tale will be available on PS4 and PS5, and will also be offered as a Day 1 release with PS+ Extra.
Besides looking like an unlicensed Moana game, Tchia has a lot of very interesting exploration options, with players not even given a character marker in the map, forcing them to familiarize with locations as a gameplay mechanic.
What’s also interesting is that the character of Tchia also has the ability to ‘Soul-jump’ in which she can posses any kind of animal or object, and use it against her enemy. She also has some different tools in her disposal for traversal, like her glider and boat; but she does run out of stamina at times, so make sure you don’t get too carried away when you climb a mountain.
The game looks pretty interesting, and should be a colorful new entry to the adventure genre.
Tchia launches for PC and PlayStation 4|5 on March 21.
