There were a lot of great reveals from last week’s State of Play, and one title that seems to jump out at anime fans is Eternights. The game promises to be a blend of fantasy action and dating sims, and the trailer is filled with everything you can expect from the genre.

Dating Sims Meet Fantasy Action in Trailer for Eternights

Here’s the official description:

“Eternights is an dating action game, blending a love story with adrenaline-driven combat as you make the most out of life during the apocalypse. Scavenge for supplies, explore dungeons… and go on dates!

Save the world, and find love along the way.

Like the description puts it, Eternights looks to be a blend of the action-heavy combat, and dating sims, and you can see pretty much every element in the trailer. You get to fight some large and bombastic creatures with flashy powers, and you also get to run a romantic storyline with some cute anime girls.

Though the CG-anime look is kind of standard, the game also comes with some wonderfully animated sequences. You also have some still images of very detailed art that I’m sure is going to be a good source of wallpapers for some fans. Who knows, maybe this could be a nice jumping off point for fans of dating sims and action games that haven’t tried the other one yet.

No specific release date has been announced for Eternights, but we can expect the game to release sometime in 2023 for the PS4, PS5, and PC.
