Though Dead by Dayight has its own roster of original monsters, they do borrow some monsters from established IP from time to time, like Stranger Things, Scream, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Resident Evil. Now they’ve just teased another incoming figure that seemingly comes out of nowhere.

Dead by Daylight Reveals... Nicolas Cage

Behold: Nicolas Cage:

We don’t have any official details on Cage coming to the game yet, but we do get this logline: “It’s the performance of a lifetime. On July 5th, look out for more details about Nicolas Cage’s arrival in The Fog.”

It’s unclear whether Cage is going to be a hunter or survivor in the game, but I can see him playing both parts. If I were to guess with the ominous voiceover, I think they’re going to turn Cage into a hunter, and players will have to escape him and his over-the-top Hollywood horror map.

So far, Cage has been known to be kind of a wildcard in Hollywood, and he could be just the right amount of crazy to shake things up when it comes to Dead by Daylight’s roster. Until they reveal more about Cage though, all we can do is guess.

Here’s the official description for the game:

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer action/horror game where one player takes on the role of a brutal Killer and the other four play as Survivors. As a Killer your goal is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible. As Survivors your goal is to work together to evade, escape, and most importantly – stay alive.

Dead by Daylight is now playable for mobile, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4|5. Watch out for the Nicolas Cage update come July 5.
