With The Callisto Protocol reigniting interest in the sci-fi horror/survival genre, a lot of gamers are looking to the release of the Dead Space remake next month.
Thanks to IGN, we now have a look at the first 18 minutes of gameplay for Dead Space. Check this out:
With the original game releasing back in 2008, this remake promises to bring the nightmare of the Necromorphs into the new-gen era of gaming. Though there are a lot of core elements from the original Dead Space that were kept, the remake does add a lot of more visual flair when it comes to the levels, fully embracing the capacities of modern-day consoles.
When it released, Callisto Protocol was criticized for not being able to meet up to the expectations of Dead Space, so the pressure is now on for this remake to impress not only the fans of the original, but newcomers to the franchise as well.
Here’s he official description for the Dead Space remake:
Something has gone horribly wrong on board the mining ship, USG Ishimura.

This remake brings jaw-dropping visual fidelity and suspenseful atmospheric audio, as well as new gameplay content and improvements while staying faithful to the original game’s thrilling vision.
