It isn’t Friday in the world of Destiny 2 without a visit from Xur, the Agent of the Nine who comes every weekend bearing gifts for Guardians. This week in the augural edition of the Destiny 2 Xur Report, we’ll be hooking you up with information on Xur’s location, while also running through what he’s got on sale, and what you’ll need to buy those things.
Without any further ado, let’s get into it.
Xur location: The Tower
If you’re already heading to the Tower to do some chores, Xur’s location will be rather convenient for you. He’s set up shop in the Hangar, up some stairs in the top-left corner of the map. Just head to the back, go up the very last flight of stairs you see, and you should see him on a grated pathway.
Now what’s Xur got on sale for us? Let’s find out.
Xur’s inventory
Exotic Engram
Up first, as always, is an Exotic Engram. This will give you an Exotic you don’t already have — otherwise, it’ll give you a new roll on something you’ve already collected. It’ll cost you 97 Legendary Shards.
Monte Carlo
Next, we have the Monte Carlo Auto Rifle. This is a favorite of mine, as kills reduce your melee cooldown and even have a chance to replenish your melee entirely. Top-tree Dawnblade Warlocks (like the one compiling this Destiny 2 Xur Report) know why this gun rocks: Celestial Fire all day. This will set you back 29 Legendary Shards.
Gemini Jester
Xur also has the Gemini Jester Hunter Leg Armor this week. If you’re a sneaky sneaky hunter, wearing these will let you dodge to disorient an enemy while also removing their radar for a brief period. People who are good with these are a nightmare to play in the Crucible. Cost: 23 Legendary Shards.
Stat Roll:
- Mobility: +18
- Resilience: +2
- Recovery: +12
- Discipline: +14
- Intellect: +7
- Strength: +8
- TOTAL: 61
Dunemarchers
The Dunemarchers Titan Leg Armor is up for sale, too. These will add some pep to your step in terms of making your Titan’s sprint speed faster. That sprinting “builds up a static charge” that, when your melee is used, then chains that damage to other nearby enemies. Shoulder-charging Titans often use this to wreck a clumped up team in PvP. This costs 23 Legendary Shards.
Stat Roll:
- Mobility: +3
- Resilience: +11
- Recovery: +18
- Discipline: +7
- Intellect: +12
- Strength: +10
- TOTAL: 61
Astrocyte Verse
Finally, Xur has the Astrocyte Verse Warlock Helmet. Warlocks are the only class that can use Blink in Destiny 2. Astrocyte makes that Blink even better by increasing the distance Blink can go, letting you use it more often, and letting you hit the ground with weapons drawn and radar up. Cost: 23 Legendary Shards.
Stat Roll:
- Mobility: +15
- Resilience: +16
- Recovery: +3
- Discipline: +8
- Intellect: +7
- Strength: +17
- TOTAL: 66
Exotic Cipher Quest
And last but not least, you can nab yourself an Exotic Cipher Quest from Xur. This week, Xur would like you to tally up 21 of the required activity completions. You can get a completion by:
- Finishing a strike
- Winning a Crucible match, or
- Winning a Gambit match
Do that, and one Exotic Cipher is all yours to spend at the Monument to Lost Lights as you please.
And that’s it! We’ll be back next week with yet another Destiny 2 Xur Report. Until then, happy playing, Guardians.
