The hype for God of War Ragnarok may be over, but Diablo IV may as well be bringing Kratos into their game with the reveal for the Barbarian.
Check this out:
I already thought the character looked like a differently colored Kratos with axes, a bald head, and a beard. Still, they lean more heavily on the connection by having the Barbarian wield some flaming chains—not unlike Kratos’ Blades of Athena.
With the release set for June, Diablo IV has slowly revealed more classes for the game, and we’ve gotten trailers for the Druid, the Rogue, and Sorcerer. We’ll just have to wait and see what other classes will be coming to the game.
Here’s the official description of the game:
Diablo® IV is the next-gen action RPG experience with endless evil to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish Dungeons, and legendary loot. Embark on the campaign solo or with friends, meeting memorable characters through beautifully dark settings and a gripping story, or go rogue through an expansive End Game and a shared world where players will meet in towns to trade, team up to battle World Bosses, or descend into PVP zones to test their skills against other players – no lobbies necessary – with cross-play and cross-progression on all available platforms.
The Barbarian officially launches on June 6 alongside Diablo IV, which will be available for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
