It will be a while before Riot can release the next season of Arcane, but League of Legends just launched another spinoff in Convergence: A League of Legends Story.
The game is a 2D platformer starring Ekko, and you’ll get to take control of him as he fights through the slums of Zaun. Check this out:
The official description reads:
Developed by Double Stallion Games, CONVERGENCE: A League Of Legends Story is a story-driven, single-player 2D action platformer. Traverse the sprawling city of Zaun as Ekko with his ability to travel through space and time. He and his friends must work together to keep their city safe, but as danger looms and secrets come to light, Ekko realizes he can’t trust anyone—not even himself.
Besides Ekko, we also see that the game features many more characters from the LOL lore and even some faces we didn’t even see in Arcane. Of course, you can’t have Ekko without Jinx, and it looks like she will be one of the bosses in the game who you’ll have to take on.
The game looks fun and adds a different time-travel element to an otherwise familiar format. Hopefully, this should keep LOL fans interested in the world while they wait for the next update on Arcane 2.
Convergence: A League of Legends Story is now available for PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
