Rain is our starting main character with an affinity with fire and earth. As a knight, his health, attack and defense is definitely good. He does good physical damage and can take a beating from enemies with relatively high health. His magic options are fire and earth spells, which doesn’t do a whole lot compared to pure mages. It does come in handy when he gets blinded and you don’t have any eye drops.
One of the useful skills he has is the power break, which deals decent damage and lowers the enemy’s physical attack by 15%. This makes hard hitting monsters deal less damage. He also gets to counter 30% of the time, so he does deal quite a bit of physical damage over time. At 5 stars, he learns a skill that increases 20% of the esper’s stats that is on him, giving himself more bonus stats.
Also, once you get him to 4 stars, his limit burst is AoE!
Update: With his new 6 star status, he has become a very viable unit. He can self boost his limit burst and spam it every other turn. Also, with Leadership, he can buff all allies stats by 40%, which is a very good buff!
Verdict: Worthy unit to use!

Rain’s weapon and armor choices are quite large and you won’t have much of a problem finding good items for him to equip. He can also use mid level white magic such as cura, which can be useful if you lack healers on your team.
