Reveals for God of War: Ragnarok have admittedly been sparse, so it’s understandable that fans would think that the game was delayed to next year. Multiple sources have been adamant, however, that the game is releasing this year, and a new rumor has come out that we could get a release date by the end of June.
This comes from @insider_wtf on Twitter, who posts this GIF of Kratos with a binary secret code:
While some are confused about what the numbers could men, some have pointed out that the binary for 1 1 1 1 0 is 30—which means that we could be getting a reveal on June 30. After God of War 2 skipped State of Play, speculation guessed that they could be waiting for the game to get its own spotlight, and a reveal event on June 30 could be perfect.
Then again, this is all just speculation based on rumors. We don’t know what Santa Monica Studio has planned, but if all sources are so adamant that they want to release the game sometime within the year, they better start marketing the hype train as the launch draws nearer.
From Santa Monica Studio comes the sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018).
Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as they prepare for the prophesied battle that will end the world.
No release date has been set for God of War: Ragnarok, but some are hoping that it comes out this November for the PlayStation 5.
