Learn how to complete the Prisoner Lift Random Event in GTA 5!

GTA 5: Prisoner Lift Random Event Guide

The Prisoner Lift Random Event is one of several chances you’ll have to help Prisoners in need in GTA 5. There are two events in this series of Random Events, and the requirements and rewards for each differ from one to the other.

If you want 100% Completion in your GTA 5 save file, you can easily add two Random Events to the 14 required to get 100% by completing the Prisoner Lift Random Event in GTA 5.

This quick guide outlines everything you need to know about the Prisoner Lift Random Event.

What is the Prisoner Lift Random Event in GTA 5?

The Prisoner Lift Random Event is 1 of 60 Random Events you will encounter in GTA 5. This Random Event involves two prisoners, but the outcome for each Random Event will differ greatly.

1 5

There are two Prisoner Lift Random Events in GTA 5. The first requires you to take in a Prisoner, lose the cops that pursue you mid-way through the Random Event, and then deliver the Prisoner to a designated location. The first Prisoner Lift Random Event is only available for Michael and Franklin.

The second Prisoner Lift Random Event involves another escaped Prisoner. However, the second Prisoner will ambush you and steal your car instead.

You must kill the Prisoner to complete the second Prisoner Lift Random Event, and you can do this in style: Since you know Prisoner 2 will take your car away from you, you can plant a Sticky Bomb on your car and then wait for the Prisoner to take the car before you blow him to smithereens.

You can encounter this Random Event while playing Franklin, Michael, or Trevor.

Prisoner Lift Random Event Location

The locations for Prisoner Lift 1 and 2 are different. The first one can be found in the Grand Senora Desert just north of the Bolingbroke Penitentiary. In contrast, the second Prisoner Lift Random Event can be found south of the Bolingbroke Penitentiary.

A Blue Dot will appear on the map as you approach the area. Head to the Blue Dot to pick up Prisoner 1.

A few seconds after you pick up Prisoner 1, the police will show up. Lose the cops by going off-road.

When the coast is clear, return to the main road and drive to Prisoner 1’s clubhouse in East Vinewood.

A Blue Dot will also show up for Prisoner 2. Before you go to Prisoner 2’s location, plant a Sticky Bomb on your vehicle.

Wait a few meters before you blow up Prisoner 2 to avoid getting caught in the explosion. This will complete the Random Event.

Prisoner Lift Random Event Rewards

After you deliver the Prisoner to his desired location, you will gain +3 Driving Skill stat. You will only get rewards for completing Prisoner Lift 1. Meanwhile, Prisoner Lift 2 will get you nothing in return, but you can deal with the Prisoner and his evil intentions by killing him to complete the Random Event.

Both Prisoner Lift Random Events will count toward the 14 Random Events you must complete to get 100% Completion in your GTA 5 save file.

Trust Issues

The first Prisoner is a friendly guy who took out a cop and “was only in the area to visit his friend in Bolingbroke Penitentiary.” Please pick up the guy, lose the cops, and then deliver him to his clubhouse in East Vinewood to complete the Random Event.

The second Prisoner is a completely different story – he will hold you at gunpoint and take your car. Return the favor by planting a Sticky Bomb on your car and blowing up the stolen car as soon as he’s far enough from you.

Complete both Random Events, and you’ll get +3 Driving Skill and 2 Random Events closer to 100% completion in your GTA 5 save file.
