Stamina is pretty much the only limiting factor on how fast you can progress in Guardian Tales. The reasoning for its existence is pretty simple.

How to Get Rid of Stamina in Guardian Tales

Developers have to curb players’ growth or encourage them to spend money for faster run-throughs. While the stamina system is pretty straightforward, you can use a few tricks to maximize your stamina usage.

If Stamina is holding you back, we’re here to help. Read on to find out how to get rid of Stamina in Guardian Tales.

How to Use Stamina Effectively in Guardian Tales

Since Stamina is used for every task you do in Guardian Tales, some players can experience a severe Stamina shortage after making more game mechanics available. This shortage isn’t really a bad thing since more options allow you to strategize around more efficient Stamina use.

If you’re a new player, you’re pretty much stuck with whatever Stamina you recharge over time and the free refills the game provides every 12 hours. However, there are always more things to do in Guardian Tales.

What you decide to spend your Stamina on in any game session is pretty much up to you. The game’s forgiving enough to allow for some inefficiencies while not curbing growth.

As a rule of thumb, you want to unlock as many levels as possible until they become moderately challenging to beat. Leveling heroes is also important since each upgrade makes getting through stages, dungeons, and Tower levels slightly easier.

One of the most important things for a new player is to use the Stamina-regeneration and storage options optimally.

How You Get Stamina in Guardian Tales

There are several ways players can receive Stamina:

  • Recharging by one every 10 minutes, so long as you’re not at or over your maximum

  • Direct purchases from the in-game store with Gems or real money

  • Using Coffee Grinders (five Coffee Grinders per use)

  • Receiving Stamina refills in the game mail twice a day

  • Rewards from certain levels and achievements

It’s important to note that some of these methods can be used for efficient Stamina storage. For example, Stamina refills via Gems are limited to five a day, which gives you an artificial ability to put an extra 250 Stamina into your pool at any time. Also, some achievement rewards don’t have an expiration date, so you can use them whenever you need a quick Stamina infusion.

Coffee Grinders are also a vital part of the Stamina economy. The in-game tooltip is somewhat incomplete and inaccurate. Rather than filling your Stamina to its maximum and increasing it slightly, using Coffee Grinders first increases your maximum Stamina, then gives you the amount equal to that maximum, regardless of how much you already have. For example, if you had 20 Stamina out of 70 and used Coffee Grinders once, you’ll end up with 91 out of 71 Stamina.

Daily Stamina boosts players receive in the mail are also a vital part of the Stamina economy. Since these boosts are allocated twice a day, it’s recommended to have at least two logins daily, one in the morning and the other in the evening, to catch both refill timers. These daily resets don’t last indefinitely in your mail, so you should consider using them. The additional Gem bonus can be claimed and used as storage as described.

One of the key strategies, if you’re a newer player, is never to let your Stamina stay near or above its maximum level.

Since the waiting-based recharge stops once you reach max, it ends up wasting some Stamina. Consequently, it’s best to use your Stamina to keep it from piling up. Rift levels are excellent since you can just use the Sweep method on the ones you passed with three stars. This method uses Stamina for an almost immediate resource or EXP return. Your Stamina recharges fully (i.e., if you start from 0) roughly every 10 hours, so having 3-4 sessions a day is the best method to use it up and wait for the next recharge.

Stamina Tales

Leveling up heroes and advancing through various game levels will feel like a slog due to the slow-trickling nature of Stamina. If you’re not concerned about spending some money, you can expedite this process with a few refills. The game’s generous to free-to-play (F2P) players, but the developers have to make money somehow, and it seems like Stamina is their way to do it.
