Ten-round slugfest or a one-round downer?
Creed Champions can be beaten and completed, despite it being a sports game. You have a set amount of fights and characters to unlock, but how long does it take to beat it? What about the trophies and achievements? Find out in our handy Creed Champions guide.
How long to beat Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions?
Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions has three modes and depending on how your honesty attributes were set at birth, you can unlock all of the characters in Creed Champions inside and hour. First, let’s look at how long it takes to beat Creed Champions legitimately.
The Arcade Mode method
In Arcade Mode, each character has a story and a set of fights to complete. The fights get more difficult as you progress, ultimately ending with the “boss” fight for that character. Going by my best times, it normally took me around 20 minutes to complete a character’s story in Arcade Mode.
There are a total of 20 characters in the game, so you’re looking at around 6-8 hours to beat Creed Champions legitimately. This value could go up depending on which difficulty setting you choose to play on.
The Versus Mode method
Versus Mode is Creed Champion’s cheat mode. Every fight you win fills up your “Next Unlock” bar which, when full, will put you in a fight against the character you will unlock.
If you have a second controller handy, you can connect the controller to your console and play Versus Mode in two-player. The thing is, even in Creed Champions’ two-player mode, each victory still goes towards unlocking a new character. So you can beat yourself easily over and over again. However, you will need to fight and beat the unlockable character legitimately when the time comes, but it’s still a really quick and easy way to beat the game.
Trophies? How long for the platinum?
Versus Mode is also helpful in getting some of the game’s trickier trophies. Either by doing two-player mode by yourself or getting someone to help you, you can get some of the harder trophies really easily. The trophy set for Creed Champions isn’t that difficult, for the most part, but the “Go The Distance” trophy is a difficult one to get.
To get the “Go The Distance” trophy, you’ll have to beat Arcade Mode once with any character on Champion difficulty. This is solid, but doable once you’re familiar with the game’s controls. Just remember to duck, block, and slip-counter as much as possible and you’ll get there in the end.
All said, getting the Creed Champions Platinum trophy shouldn’t take you more than 10 hours, though this can be reduced by using the Versus Mode method to get some of the trophies.
