We know that Gotham Knights has been touting villains like Mr. Freeze and the Court of Owls, but there will be some appearances from other Batman villains. Thanks to IGN, we have a look at a boss fight with Harley Quinn sporting a fresh new design. Check this out:
Though Harley has shown up in the Arkham games, she never really gets to do a lot of the fighting—probably because Rocksteady didn’t like the image of Batman beating a woman. Since the Gotham Knights are considered to be kids next to veteran criminal Harley, I guess they decided to finally have Harley join in on the brawling. I guess with Batgirl in the roster, the developers are encouraged to be inclusive on the enemy side of things as well.
I have to say, this design for Harley looks pretty interesting as well. Though her previous designs have just tried playing on her black and red look, this is the first time we actually see her wearing some messy make-up that looks like war paint; you also have to wonder if the upside-down heart on her face is supposed to mean anything.
With Harley Quinn being part of the game, I wonder which other villain could show up in Gotham Knights. Batman has one of the most beloved rogues galleries in comics, so WB Montreal will have a lot to choose from.
Gotham Knights launches on Oct. 25 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
