Fans thought that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga would release around the same time as The Rise of Skywalker back in 2019, but it’s been 3 years, and we’ve yet to get an update. What’s interesting is, a data mining leak has allegedly found when this highly anticipated game is going to release.
As per Aggiornamenti Lumia on Twitter (via Bespin Bulletin), LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga could finally release on April 5, 2022.
With massive hype behind the game, you would think that Lucasfilm Games would have started marketing at this point if they wanted to release it on April; but something tells me that they want to time the trailer with another big Star Wars event. My guess is that it will be around the finale of The Book of Boba Fett, which is set to happen on Feb. 9. That seems like a good time to market something coming out in April.
Looking back at the original LEGO Star Wars games, it was amazing how much Easter Eggs and characters they could fit into the game—and we’re talking about the PlayStation 2 generation of consoles here. With this new-gen LEGO Star Wars, fans are expecting everything to be included from characters in anthology films like Rogue One and Solo to maybe even more obscure material like the High Republic.
Like I said, the hype is on for this game, but hopefully developers Traveller’s Tales comes up with something fun for fans and newcomers.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is expected to come out this spring.
