New-gen console owners have been gushing about Hogwarts Legacy since it launched last February, and it was only this April when PS4 and Xbox One players could join in on the fun. Nintendo Switch players are also expecting the game to drop this July, but it looks like it’s been delayed.
An official announcement announced that Hogwarts Legacy had been pushed from its original July 25 release date to November 14. Here’s the post:
With HL being a AAA game, we should have expected delays when it came to development, especially when it comes to a port for a console like the Nintendo Switch. Though we can expect something like the Steam Deck to play Hogwarts Legacy, I expect there will be a lot of work done to downgrade the game to run on the Switch.
Who knows, maybe they’ll add some Switch-exclusive features to this port of the game, but we haven’t gotten any official details. Hopefully, we can get something around August as we draw closer to the fall season.
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. Embark on a journey through familiar and new locations as you explore and discover magical beasts, customize your character and craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade talents, and become the wizard you want to be.
Hogwarts Legacy launches for the Nintendo Switch on Nov. 14. The game is now available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, and PC.
