Horizon Forbidden West DLC Announcement Coming Soon?

Just in, The Snitch (via Insider-Gaming) may have possibly teased the upcoming DLC for Forbidden West titled Burning Shores, and they do so with this tweet allegedly revealing the location of the DLC in the map:

Of course, the DLC thing is just a rumor, but with the Game Awards coming by the end of the week, it would be the perfect time for Guerrilla Games to showcase Alloy’s next adventure.

In Forbidden West, the Burning Shores are mentioned, but players are never allowed to travel to their location. A lot of people think this is because the developers are saving the area for a DLC, and that could very much be the situation—we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Here’s the official description for Forbidden West:

The land is dying. Vicious storms and an unstoppable blight ravage the scattered remnants of humanity, while fearsome new machines prowl their borders. Life on Earth is hurtling towards another extinction, and no one knows why.

It’s up to Aloy to uncover the secrets behind these threats and restore order and balance to the world. Along the way, she must reunite with old friends, forge alliances with warring new factions and unravel the legacy of the ancient past – all the while trying to stay one step ahead of a seemingly undefeatable new enemy.

For now, Horizon Forbidden West is available on PlayStation 4|5. The Game Awards 2022 takes place on Dec. 9.
