Fans thought that Naughty Dog was cashing in when they remade The Last of Us for PS5, but everyone was raving when Part I came out a few weeks ago. Now it looks like another PlayStation property could be following suit.
According to MP1st, Guerrilla Games is currently looking to update Horizon Zero Dawn for the PS5. We don’t have any details on whether this will be a ‘ground up’ graphical improvement like TLOU Part I, but it is said that the remake will include better animation, overhauled textures, an imporved lighting system, and new character models that were used in the recent sequel Horizon Forbidden West.
Admittedly, Horizon Zero Dawn is relatively new coming out in 2017, as compared to The Last of Us which came out back in 2013. The game still looks pretty impressive by today’s modern gaming standards, but I guess Forbidden West is undoubtedly a huge graphical improvement. The faces in the original game were pretty stiff, if you ask me.
Personally, I’m a fan of just moving forward, but if there is money to be made, I’m pretty sure Guerrilla is going to take the chance and grab it. After all, I think fans who haven’t checked out the original game yet will want this remake as some kind of point of entry.
