It’s no big secret that Destiny 2‘s Anarchy grenade launcher is a weapon everyone wants. It’s an Exotic, which means it comes with an Exotic perk. That perk (Arc Traps) turns your grenades into mines that chain lightning between each other, which makes it great for both boss burning and add clearing. This gun will put you on the path to fun gaming, for sure. But you may be tripped up on one question: how to get Anarchy in Destiny 2.
Anarchy used to be a raid drop
Once upon a time, the only way to get Anarchy was from a random drop in Destiny 2‘s Scourge of the Past raid. The weapon was notoriously difficult to snag. People would run Scourge dozens of times and come away empty handed. Anarchy’s low drop rate led to a lot of consternation in the game’s community. Plenty of players knew how to get Anarchy in Destiny 2 back then, but very few people actually could.
This is what it used to look like to get Anarchy.
Fortunately, you can still get it!
Sadly, the Scourge of the Past raid was vaulted in November 2020 with the release of Destiny 2: Beyond Light. When that raid went bye-bye, so did the traditional way of nabbing an Anarchy.
The good news is, Bungie didn’t make the gun disappear forever. There’s still a way to get Anarchy in the current version of the game. You can purchase it through a kiosk in the Tower called the Monument to Lost Lights.
In the Monument to Lost Lights, Anarchy is located in the “Forsaken Exotics” section. It’ll cost you 240 Spoils of Conquest. What are those, you ask? They’re a special currency that you can get from raid chests. Yes, you’ll still have to do some raiding if you want to buy this gun. The good news is, you can collect Spoils of Conquest and spend them on Anarchy as soon as you have enough. You no longer have to rely on a random drop.
That, currently, is how to get Anarchy in Destiny 2. This info could change at some point in the future, but we’ll be sure to update this page if it does.
