There’s a gun in Destiny 2 that brings back a lot of bad memories for a lot of players. It’s called Felwinter’s Lie, and some might tell you the “Lie” is that this weapon is a Shotgun and not a Sniper Rifle. Felwinter’s may not be as great as it once was, but it is still pretty lethal, and is at least worth getting if you’re the sentimental type. If you need to know how to get Felwinter’s Lie in Destiny 2, we’ve got a guide for you below.
Felwinter’s Lie has a storied history
Once upon a time, Felwinter’s Lie was one of the most feared guns in the original Destiny. We told you above how some interpreted its name. Due to its incredible range, Felwinter’s wreaked absolute havoc in the Crucible. If you didn’t have it in its heyday, it was very tough to compete.
Felwinter’s Lie made a return in Destiny 2 and was acquired via a special Quest available during Season of the Worthy. Of course, that Season is very much out of the picture at this point, and there’s no way to go back and do the quest. Fortunately, there is still a way for you to get this Legendary Shotgun.
Felwinter’s Lie is available from the Monument to Lost Lights
The Monument to Lost Lights is a kiosk in the Tower that enables you to pick up weapons from phased out content. If you missed out on a Vaulted raid, or a Quest that’s been removed, or some other type of content drop with a weapon as a reward, the Monument is now where you’ll find those goods.
You can find Felwinter’s Lie here, but first, you’ll need to ensure you have some specific resources and currencies in your inventory:
- 75,000 Glimmer
- 100 Legendary Shards
- Two Enhancement Prisms
- One Ascendant Shard
Once you have all that, open the Monument and navigate to the section called “Legacy Gear.” Once you’re there, you should see Felwinter’s Lie sitting in the top Weapons category. Go ahead and make your purchase.
And that’s how to get Felwinter’s Lie in Destiny 2
I recommend taking Felwinter’s Lie into the Crucible; if not to relive your past glory days of the first Destiny, then to at least get a small taste of what life was like for Guardians in that era. This gun is still a favorite among competitive PvP players. Give it a few runs and you’ll find out why.
