Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece turns 25 this year, and to commemorate the anniversary, Bandai Namco has dropped a reveal for their upcoming RPG, One Piece Odyssey.
Here is the announcement:
Here is the official story description:
A broken Thousand Sunny… Scattered crew members… Luffy’s missing straw hat…
The Straw Hats, led by Monkey D. Luffy, are swallowed by a massive storm at sea during their voyage. They end up on a mysterious island full of nature amidst the storm and become separated. Work together with Luffy and his crew to set sail once again! The crew sets out on a new adventurous journey filled with wonders of a raging nature, powerful enemies, and strange encounters with island locals.
What is great is that Oda himself is attached as a producer for the game, and new character and creature designs come from him. The game has also employed composer Motoi Sakuraba to provide the music; Sakuraba is best known for his work on the Dark Souls franchise and the Tales series.
While a specific release date has not been announced, I am guessing they could release this sometime around October, around the anniversary of the One Piece manga. Hopefully, we get more trailers before that because I need to see more gameplay.

No official release date has been announced for One Piece Odyssey, but the game is expected to launch for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime later this year.
