Avengers may have stumbled at launch, but Crystal Dynamics is trying its best to get players to check it out but adding all kinds of DLC characters. The end of the month will give players Bucky Barnes a.k.a. The Winter Soldier, and we have a new animatic teasing his arrival.

We don’t have an official look at gameplay yet, but we should expect some kind of teaser in the next few months. When it comes to powers, it’s possible that WS will be able to use his assault rifle that he’s seen carrying; we should also expect that metal arm to have to special features.
Story-wise, they keep a lot of Bucky’s comic origin, making him Captain America’s sidekick before he got abducted by the Russians and turned into a super soldier. One change in his origin is that they turned him into a love interest for Black Widow. We don’t know exactly when that happens in the A-Day timeline, but I guess both characters have the espionage background to really draw them together.
If Cyberpunk 2077 and Star Wars Battlefront II can make up for their bad launches down the line, I’m sure Avengers can pull the same kind of hat trick. Admittedly, very few buzz is going around about the game, but this winter soldier drop could change things by the end of the month.
The Winter Soldier launches on Avengers on Nov. 29 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4|5.
