Marvel’s Midnight Suns from Firaxis Games had already been delayed from its original release date to October of this year, but it seems like fans of Marvel-themed card games will have to wait longer till the launch.
According to IGN, Marvel’s Midnight Suns has been delayed from its original October release date to ‘later this fiscal year.’ We don’t have a specific release date yet, but it’s speculated that the game could launch before March 2023.
What’s more, the launch is only specific for new-gen consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (along with PC). The launch for the Nintendo Switch,PS4, and Xbox One is expected to come out later than that.
When it came to the delay, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick explained that it was because of a “search for quality, and a great deal of confidence that we have a wonderful title on our hands and we want to make sure it’s as good as it can possibly be.”
With the recent reveals for characters and their gameplay, it did feel very likely that Midnight Suns was on track to release on time, but now fans will have to wait bit longer. I am curious though if this delay also means we won’t have so much character reveals anymore. With a big roster of playable characters though, I think it would be best if we could just keep getting gameplay deep dives anyway.
No new release date has been set for Marvel’s Midnight Suns, but speculation points out that we could get the game before March 2023.
