X-Men member Colossus may not have been popular enough to be part of Marvel’s Midnight Suns game, but his younger sister Illyana Rasputin a.k.a. Magik will be a playable hero in Firaxis’ highly anticipated title.
Just in, we have a gameplay showcase for Magik, and we get to see just how useful her portals to Limbo will be in the game. Watch this:
With Soulsword in hand and extraordinary teleportation abilities at her disposal, Lilith’s army better beware of Magik!
Magik’s skillset is pretty much focusing on knocking back characters, whether it be toward a hazardous environment or toward another enemy. She also has the ability to gather all enemies into one central point, perfect for a combo with a hero that can do multiple damage in one specific radius.
Magik also has the crazy ablity to actually summon heroes that are not in your roster for a round. We don’t know how long they could stay or which heroes we can pick from, but it’s certainly a useful ability, especially when you find yourself up against an enemy you didn’t prepare for.
Though Magik was only really allowed to have her spotlight in New Mutants, this appearance in Midnight Suns should continue to spark interest for the character. If anything, she’s already a fan-favorite from the comics, and it can only be a matter of time before she joins the main MCU canon. You think Anya Taylor-Joy is willing to reprise the role?
Marvel’s Midnight Suns is now gearing up for a release on Dec. 2 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
