It’s odd that bright and colourful characters like Captain America and Spider-Man should join the roster for the very gothic Midnight Suns, but the latest hero spotlight finally gives us one of the edgiest characters in Marvel.
Check out Ghost Rider:
We only have a glimpse of gameplay for Ghost Rider in the teaser, and it looks like he’ll be able to do some ranged attacks with his signature chain. With ‘Rider’ literally being in his name, we should also expect him to bring in his ride every now and again during a fight. I don’t know what kind of context it could have, but that’s up to the game designers at Firaxis to find out.
Since this one is driving a car, it’s confirmed that this is the Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider and not the more established Rider from the comics, Johnny Blaze. Then again, depending on whether he can summon his ride in the game, I think they can just give him a Johnny Blaze skin and call it a day.
After centuries of sleep, Lilith, Mother of Demons, has been revived by Hydra through a twist of dark magic and science. Lilith is determined to bring back her evil master, Chthon, and when Marvel’s Midnight Suns releases, you’ll be the world’s best hope of stopping her. Fortunately, you won’t be alone. As the Hunter, a legendary demon slayer with a mysterious past, you’ll fight alongside the Midnight Suns – an unlikely group of seasoned Super Heroes and dangerous supernatural warriors.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns launches for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4|5 this Dec. 2.
