Mortal Kombat had helped define the 90s, and thirty years later, Liu Kang, Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade, and more are still kicking but onscreen. The game has just celebrated it’s 30-year anniversary, and we have a new video marking the major milestone.

Nobody would have predicted that a video game paying homage to gory, B-movies would have such an impact on pop-culture, and until now NetherRealm has been constantly updating the games for new generations of audiences to enjoy.

Personally, I think they kind of lost the comedy element to the original games, but I guess everything still fits in the unique brand that is Mortal Kombat.
