Well, this is certainly a surprise. We know that the big game studios have opted to have their own “E3” like events on their own, and Nintendo has just announced their next Nintendo Direct event for tomorrow.
Here’s the post:
The event is expected to last for about 40 minutes, and will be available to stream here.
Take note, this even will only focus on games coming out in the first half of the year, so maybe there are some highly-anticipated titles that won’t make the spotlight yet.
As for what fans are hoping for, there has been a lot of hype surrounding the release of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Other sequels that fans have been watching out for include Bayonetta 3 and Splatoon 3.
GamingBolt also reports that there are rumors going around that the event could reveal the next Xenoblade Chronicles game as well as a remaster of Metroid Prime. Maybe Nintendo could also be looking to follow-up one of their launch titles, 1-2-Switch.
Despite not being as powerful as new-gen consoles like the PlayStation and Xbox, the Nintendo Switch still shines when it comes to playability and accessibility, and that’s how it managed to outsell its competitors. Some fans have been hoping that Nintendo would reveal a ‘Pro’ version of the Switch for years, so maybe we could get that with Nintendo Direct tomorrow.
Let’s just cross our fingers and wait.
Catch Nintendo Direct 2022 when it launches 2 p.m. PT on Feb. 9.
