We know that No Man’s Sky is a game all about space exploration, but who knew they could actually mess with time?

No Man’s Sky: Leviathan Traps Players in a Time Loop

Just in, we have a new look at No Man’s Sky: Leviathan, and it has players stuck in a constant time loop—and it has something to do with that giant, flying, tentacle creature. Watch this:

Survival is front and center for Expedition 7 as Travelers are challenged with escaping from a mysterious time-loop curse. Not even Nada and Polo know the cause of this temporal abnormality, but all the clues indicate a link to a great space creature, The Leviathan.

The new expedition is actually Hello Games’ take on the roguelike genre which will have players undergo randomly generated levels with different challenges. Though unique challenges are the thing about roguelike games, there is also a different catch in which you have to explore levels to unlock different memories about them.

What’s also cool is, the story actually encourages you to cooperate with other players stuck in the loop, so you can all gather information and memories to try and break the ‘Leviathan’s Curse.’

Like with every expansion, you should also expect some new items and gear, with more unique possibilities as you continue to explore and cooperate in this expedition. For a full breakdown of the expedition, you can check it out on the official site here.

No Man’s Sky is now playable for PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
