Overwatch has never really been one to have a Valentine’s event, but it looks like we’re going to be getting something extra this month with a sim date called Loverwatch: Love Never Dies.

Overwatch 2: Hanzo Plays Cupid in Teaser for Dating Sim ‘Loverwatch’

Apparently. It’s a working dating sim featuring Genji and Mercy, and Hanzo will also be there to play cupid. Check this out:

If you watch till the end, you’ll even see that there’s a joke about Genji needing healing, which has been one of the most prominent memes in the game even since the first Overwatch. Who knows what other kind of references they’ll have to other kinds of fandom jokes from the community?

Loverwatch is currently available to play here, and by playing the game, you’ll be able to avail for a discount for the Cupid Hanzo bundle which includes the Cupid skin, a souvenir, a weapon charm, a Cupid’s Target name card, and the silly highlight intro of Hanzo making a kiss at the screen.

Hanzo may be one of the more serious characters when it comes to Overwatch, but it’s pretty great that they found  way to have fun with him this Valentine’s season. I guess they didn’t really have any other character that could take the role of cupid.

Loverwatch is currently available for desktop browsers. Overwatch 2 is available for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
