The first Overwatch was pretty sparing when it came to crossovers, but Overwatch 2 is gearing up for a collaboration with the hit anime One-Punch Man. We all thought it was just Doomfist getting a cool new skin, but we also have skins for Genji, Kiriko, and Soldier: 76.

Introducing a collaboration of heroic proportions. Prepare to suit up and come out swinging with four exclusive Legendary skins including Saitama – Doomfist, Genos – Genji, Mumen Rider – Soldier 76, and Terrible Tornado – Kiriko! The Overwatch 2 x One-Punch Man collab hits the Shop today, Mar 7!

While the costumes aren’t really exact replicas of the characters from the anime, the explanation to the costumes lore-wise is that One-Punch Man is an anime that exists in the Overwatch universe, and the characters here are cosplaying them.

Though it’s understandable that fans would want a faithful recreation of the game characters, the designers made sure that there was still some of the base OW character that was present in the design. Talking to PlayStation, art director Dion Rogers explained, “We wanted to make sure players recognized that our characters are essentially cosplaying the OPM heroes… Our concept artists were careful to combine the two heroes’ main aesthetics without losing either character in the process.”

The Overwatch 2 x One-Punch Man collaboration will be available from March 7–April 6. Overwatch 2 is currently free to play for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, and PC.
