2022 really is the year of Pinocchio.
Besides Netflix and Disney releasing Pinocchio movies this year, publisher Neowiz has their own take on the boy puppet—but we had no idea it was for a steampunk Bloodborne-esque game.

Lies of P is an Action RPG based on the classic tale of Pinocchio. Play as Pinocchio and solve the mysteries and disaster that happened in the city of Krat.
During the journey, you’ll be put in a situation where lying is needed to protect yourself or others. Pinocchio’s lying is one of the most important experiences that you’ll have. At the same time, this will lead Pinocchio to become a true human being. In Lies of P, players will meet familiar characters who can be either your ally or a foe.
According to Polygon, Lies of P will have you playing as Pinocchio as you explore the city of Krat in the search for your creator Gepetto. Along the way you’ll be able to mix and match parts to be able to change weapons depending on the situation—like a steampunk version of Mega Man. You’ll also be going up against other steampunk monstrosities, big and small, and in the quest to gain back your own humanity.
Besides being a live puppet, Pinocchio is also notorious for telling lies, which will have some major impact to the gameplay as well. I mean, why else would the game be called Lies of P if Pinocchio wasn’t going to be stretching the truth every once in a while.
Lies of P is set to release for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC sometime in 2023.
