While PlayStation Plus has its own set of perks, it is poor compared to Xbox’s Game Pass. Now it looks like Sony is overhauling the service, and we have a new trailer giving us a look at the all-new PS Plus.
Here is the official description:
Take your pick from three PlayStation Plus membership plans – PlayStation Plus Premium, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Essential – and discover new benefits, including access to game trials and classic PlayStation titles and an incredible library of hundreds of PS4 and PS5 games.
PlayStation Plus Essential is at the bottom of the tier, which functions like the old PS Plus, allowing for online play plus a few select titles every month. The change comes with PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium. Plus Extra will enable access to the PlayStation game catalog, which features hundreds of downloadable PS4 and PS5 titles. Plus, Premium will feature all of the benefits of previous tiers and allow the player to cloud stream games—meaning they can have access to hundreds of titles from the catalog without having to download anything.
It sounds like a pretty sweet subscription deal on PlayStation’s part, but I guess we will have to wait until June to see how people react to this updated version of the PS Plus service.

The all-new PlayStation Plus is expected to launch on June 13.
