Insomniac Games may be focused on the release of Spider-Man 2 this year, but they did tease that they were working on another Marvel game with Wolverine. We don’t have any official updates on the game yet, but there are some possible new details that have been leaked online.

Possible New Details Revealed for Insomniac’s Wolverine Game

According to insider Jeff Grubb (via @Okami13_), we could be looking at Wolverine title that’s similarly designed as the new God of War games. Here’s the post:

Seeing that Wolverine as a character has always been more violent than Spider-Man, I guess it does make sense that he would get an M rating on his game, what with Logan known to have razor sharp blades popping out of his hands.

The semi-open world design in an interesting choice. With Spider-Man providing a completely explorable New York, it could be redundant if Wolverine were to do the same thing. I do like the idea of multiple, small open-worlds; maybe we can go to other locations important in Wolverine’s lore like the X-Mansion or the Mutant island of Genosha.

With the game possibly being pushed to 2025, it could be a while before we can get another tease from Insomniac. Then again, maybe they’re just making sure the spotlight is just on Spider-Man 2 for now. I’m sure they’ll be ready to give us more to see about Logan’s game after Peter Parker comes back on the PS5.

No official release date has been announced for Wolverine, but Spider-Man 2 is expected to launch for the PS5 later this year.
